Trustees & Elections


The Board of Education provides overall governance and are responsible through the Superintendent of Schools for efficient and effective operation of the Public School System. The Board is comprised of 5 Trustees: 3 elected at large within the Bella Coola Valley and 2 elected at large within the District’s Coastal Communities at Wuikinuvx and Shearwater.

Together and by committee, they provide public oversight in the areas of Education, Finance, Facility Management, Human Resources, and Policy. The Board meets formally once per month at the School Board Office.
